Chubb, a leading publicly traded property-casualty insurance company, has announced the appointment of Adam Mason as the executive vice president of casualty for Overseas General Insurance. In his new role, Mason will be responsible for overseeing the growth and profitability of Chubb’s casualty lines in 51 countries and territories outside North America. This appointment is set to take effect from June 1, 2023.

Mason is an experienced professional in the insurance industry, with over three decades of experience under his belt. Before his appointment as the deputy head of casualty for Overseas General Insurance, he served as the chief underwriting officer for casualty. Mason joined Chubb, which was formerly known as ACE, in 2002 and worked in the multinational retail and international wholesale casualty underwriting teams in the UK and Ireland. In 2011, he moved to the company’s casualty business. Prior to joining Chubb, Mason worked as an assistant underwriter at Independent Insurance and as a casualty underwriter at CNA.

In his new position, Mason will report to Mark Homan, who was recently promoted to the position of division president, international property and casualty, for Overseas General Insurance. Homan expressed his confidence in Mason, stating that he has a strong reputation as a technical underwriter and experienced multinational executive. According to Homan, Mason has been instrumental in driving the growth and profitability of Chubb’s portfolio across all regions.

Chubb is the world’s largest publicly traded property-casualty insurance company. The company operates in 54 countries and territories, providing commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, personal accident and supplemental health insurance, reinsurance, and life insurance to a diverse group of clients.
