AXA XL, a leading global insurance and reinsurance provider, has announced the addition of three new members to its Energy team in the UK & Lloyd’s Business Unit. The new appointments are expected to further enhance the team’s capabilities in the energy insurance market.

Josephine Stroud, who has been appointed as Senior Underwriter for Energy Liability, brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Previously, she held the position of Executive Director – Head of Energy Liability at Willis Towers Watson, where she developed a deep knowledge of the energy market. In her new role at AXA XL, she will be responsible for developing and executing the portfolio’s underwriting strategy.
Daniella Simmons, the new Underwriter for Downstream, Power and Renewables, will play a key role in supporting clients as they transition to a cleaner energy future. Ms. Simmons has extensive experience in the energy insurance market, having previously served as a Downstream Energy Assistant Underwriter at Chubb Global Markets.
Lulu Knott, the new Underwriting Assistant for Energy Liability and Downstream Energy, is new to the energy insurance industry. In her role, she will provide support to the Liability and Downstream teams as they work towards achieving their goals for the Business Unit.
AXA XL’s Head of Energy, UK & Lloyd’s, Nicola Harris, expressed her excitement about the new appointments, stating that energy insurance remains a critical part of the company’s portfolio.
